Yes! We ship any items we can safely send via FedEx or USPS. Since we are closed Mondays and Tuesday, we pack and ship orders Wednesday through Saturday and ask that you allow 2 days for us to do so. Orders received Saturday afternoon through Tuesday will ship on Thursday at the latest. We will always strive to get your order out as quick as possible.
Yes, please allow 24 hours for us to prepare your item(s). Please note, if you order on a day we are closed, we will likely not have your item(s) ready right when we open so please allow us some time to prepare your order. Give us a ring on the store phone to let us know you are there and we will be out as soon as possible. We might need just a moment to finish checking someone out on the inside if we are working solo. If you reach our voicemail we have likely just popped off to another part of the store for a moment.
We have partnered with Clark’s White Glove Delivery to handle all items that customer’s wish to have delivered to their homes. Since we specialize in solid wood furniture, most of our furniture is heavy! Clark’s will bring the items into your home and place them where you want them. They do not haul away old furniture. You are responsible for making sure the item fits in your home and through all doorways and hallways to reach it’s final spot. Delivery fees are between the customer and Clark’s but we do have specials where Chatham Home will cover the local delivery fee. Please ask in store for details.
We deliver as far as Clark’s will travel. They charge a per mile fee to deliver outside of a 30 mile radius. We’ve had items get delivered as far as 3 hours away. We have not found an affordable solution for out of state delivery of our larger items.
Absolutely but be mindful of how heavy the item is and how difficult it will be to load into a vehicle or carry into your home. Luckily most of our exceptionally heavy items qualify for free local delivery. If you would like to pick up furniture yourself and it’s not something one person can easily carry (like an end table) we will need you to schedule in advance. Sometimes we only have one person working who may be physically unable to prepare the item for pick-up. We may require you to bring extra help to load the time into your car. We are not responsible for loading but we will help if we can. If you need an item asap, please give us a call and we will try our best to help. To schedule in advance please email info@chathamhomeindy.com or call the store: 317-917-8550

Parking & Location

Parking downtown can be quite easy! Check out our contact us page for a map of the surrounding streets that feature free parking. Otherwise, directly behind our store is metered parking where there are typically plenty of open spots. Payment can be made in person at the pay boxes or on your phone with the ParkMobile app. We highly recommend this app, you can save your credit card details and easily pay to park anywhere in the downtown area. Also, there is a small lot to the east of our building that offers $5 all-day parking.
Our store is on Walnut St. between Park Ave and East St. The backside of our building faces the 600 block of Mass Ave. If you are sitting on Ralston's patio you are looking right at the back of our building.
Mass Ave is a great area to visit with lots of great restaurants, shopping and entertainment. If you are coming from afar we recommend making a day of it. If you need a recommendation of what to do next, just ask us!

Product Details

Just about! We also source items that are made from other materials such as marble or metal. All of our wood items are solid wood unless they feature an intricate design pattern. This is not possible to create with a solid hunk of wood. Our passion for solid wood with beautiful grain patterns, is why we started this business.
Life happens and ALL furniture items can scratch over time. The beauty of solid wood is it can be repaired and/or refinished. You can pass these items down through the generations or resell them when they no longer serve a purpose. Items made to look like wood likely have a faux wood layer or a very thin real wood layer on top of an MDF or plywood substrate. Once you scratch it you have exposed the substrate and it cannot be refinished. Low quality veneer can also peel with changes in humidity or bubble up if gets exposed to liquids.
Mostly. We occasionally get access to a unique antique or a piece made from reclaimed wood. The reclaimed items are quite interesting because they take old pieces of wood that sometimes have previous paint on them (some were even prior building materials) and repurpose them into new furniture.
